Built for a meeting that will overrun
The lunch is booked for 12:30. The meeting before it will not end at 12:30. Everyone booking office catering knows this and orders as though it were not true.
Baked pasta is the answer that tolerates it. Lasagna, penne alfredo and spaghetti bolognese are as good at one o'clock as at half twelve, which is not true of anything fried, plated or assembled. For a room whose schedule is controlled by somebody else's calendar, that is the deciding property.
Pizza handles the all-hands version of the same problem — it is the one item a room of any size will eat without a survey, and the halal beef pepperoni means nothing has to come off the order.
- Lasagna, penne alfredo and spaghetti bolognese — they wait well
- Classic, premium and halal beef pepperoni pizza for larger rooms
- Chicken parmesan and Italian meatballs
- Caesar, caprese, antipasto, garlic bread and grilled broccolini
One tray, one number, easy to sign off
Trays are the simplest thing to budget and the simplest thing to explain on an expense line. A lasagna tray that serves twelve is a number an office manager can multiply and defend, which is not always true of a per-head staffed format.
We quote office Italian in whole trays rather than per guest for exactly that reason, and we will tell you when the headcount sits awkwardly between two trays instead of quietly rounding you up.
The vegetarian tray is a real dish
Penne alfredo, grilled broccolini, roasted seasonal vegetables and a proper caprese are not the leftovers of a meat menu. In an office where two or three people out of thirty do not eat meat, that is the difference between a considered order and an obvious afterthought.
Label everything and they will not have to ask. We send dish cards with every tray as standard, not on request.
