Sales Kickoffs catering in Los Angeles & Orange County

What it takes to cater sales kickoffs well — the logistics, the timing, and how we make it work.

A sales kickoff is a production, and the catering has to match the energy across every session and break. We cater multi-day SKOs end to end — breakfasts, working lunches, receptions — with mixed cuisines and full dietary coverage, all halal, timed to a packed run-of-show.

An SKO is catered against an energy curve, not a menu. Day one lunch lands on a room that has been sitting in a ballroom since eight in the morning and has a numbers session after it — feed them a heavy carb-forward buffet and you have engineered the afternoon slump the organiser then spends two hours fighting. So the build changes across the day and across the days: protein-forward and lighter at working lunches before content-heavy sessions, real substance at breakfast when people skipped it, a genuine break in the mid-afternoon dead zone that people will walk to rather than ignore, and generous in the evening when the day's work is done and the point is that the team is together. We ask for the run-of-show first and build to it.

Multi-day is also where variety stops being a nicety. Three days of the same catering profile is remembered as the thing that was wrong with the offsite, so a kickoff rotates across cuisines — Mediterranean mezze, halal taco and shawarma bars, BBQ, Indian, Persian, Korean and Italian — from the same kitchen and on one invoice. Practically that means we cater the whole event end to end as a single plan rather than as a stack of separate orders: breakfasts, working lunches, breaks and receptions, per-site if you are across floors or hotels, with one consolidated per-head invoice that a finance team can split by region or cost center. Everything is halal · zabiha-sourced with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free running alongside and labeled per dish, so a national sales team eats one set of meals for three days without part of it improvising.

Why Carthage

Why Carthage for sales kickoffs

What you get with us for sales kickoffs specifically — not a generic catering pitch.

  • Catered against the energy curve

Protein-forward and lighter before content-heavy sessions, substantial at breakfast, a real mid-afternoon break, generous in the evening. Not the same profile all day.

  • No repeat across three days

The rotation moves across Mediterranean, taco and shawarma bars, BBQ, Indian, Persian, Korean and Italian — from one kitchen, on one invoice.

  • The whole event as one plan

Breakfasts, working lunches, breaks and receptions built against your run-of-show rather than ordered separately. Per-site where you are across floors or hotels.

  • One invoice finance can split

Consolidated per-head invoicing across every meal and every day, splittable by region or cost center, net-30 for established accounts.

Sales Kickoffs catering runs about $32$79 per guest for food. Multiplied out, that is what a spread costs at the counts people usually ask about.

Estimated sales kickoffs catering cost by guest count — food only
GuestsEstimated food costPer guest
25$800 – $1,975$32 – $79
50$1,600 – $3,950$32 – $79
100$3,200 – $7,900$32 – $79
150$4,800 – $11,850$32 – $79

Food only. Staffing, rentals, delivery, setup and breakdown are separate lines, and a mandatory service charge and California sales tax apply on top — so the invoice for a staffed event runs meaningfully above the food figure. Smaller counts sit at the top of the band: setup and delivery cost the same at 25 guests as at 100. Every menu halal · zabiha-sourced.

Questions

Before you ask

Can you cater a multi-day kickoff on one plan?
Yes, and that is how it should be done. Breakfasts, working lunches, breaks and receptions across every day built against your run-of-show as a single plan, per-site if you are across floors or hotels, on one consolidated per-head invoice a finance team can split by region or cost center.
How do we avoid the room dying after lunch?
By not serving the lunch that causes it. Before a content-heavy or numbers-driven afternoon session we go protein-forward and lighter rather than carb-forward, and we put a real mid-afternoon break in the dead zone that people will walk to. The menu shifts across the day deliberately.
Will three days of catering feel repetitive?
Not if the rotation is wide, and ours is: Mediterranean mezze, halal taco and shawarma bars, BBQ, Indian, Persian, Korean and Italian, all from the same kitchen and on the same invoice. Three days of one profile is what people remember as the thing that was wrong with the offsite.
We are at a hotel. Can you cater there?
Often yes, but hotels and conference venues sometimes hold exclusive catering rights or charge to bring an outside caterer in — that is the venue's policy, not ours. Confirm it with them early and we will work to whatever it turns out to be.
